Throughout this week I’ll provide the rough harmony/chronology of the words and actions of Jesus in the final week of his pre-resurrection life. There wont be any commentary, just a simple journey as given by the Bible. Take some time to read it and see how it applies to your life.
On Monday morning Jesus and the Twelve leave Bethany to return to Jerusalem, and along the way Jesus curses the fig tree
In the morning, as he was returning to the city, he became hungry. And seeing a fig tree by the wayside, he went to it and found nothing on it but only leaves. And he said to it,
“May no fruit ever come from you again!”
And the fig tree withered at once.
On the following day, when they came from Bethany, he was hungry. And seeing in the distance a fig tree…
